The last expedition of the session was the Gold assessed expedition 23rd/27th August. This venture took the group from Braemar in the southern Cairngorms up through the famous Lairig Ghru to Aviemore in the
|
northern Cairngorms and then on East to Knochandhu. This was a great expedition with mixed weather but the boys were harassed by the dreaded Scottish midge, (Character building stuff.).

Summer, I would like to wish her and her fiancee all the best for their future and thank Ruth for all the time and commitment she has devoted to helping with the Duke of Edinburgh
Award.
The final thanks goes to all the other members of staff who help in all the other aspects of the award scheme, in the service, skill and physical recreation section of the award.
