WAVELL HOUSE GAMES

Football
The West Perthshire Primary Schools' League again includes two teams from Wavell House. Although fixtures have been difficult to arrange this year we are nearing the end of the first half of the programme. The 'A' team have been successful in all fixtures including two convincing wins over the St. Ninians 'A' team. Our 'B' team have been playing with enthusiasm and enjoying their games even though they have not managed to win very often. D. Darling has captained the 'A' team and has encouraged his players by example. As captain of the 'B' team T. Carmichael has shown great determination and enthusiasm. We hope to play a few games during next term but most of the remaining fixtures will not take place until the Summer Term.

Cross-Country
Wavell boys are still striving to achieve standard times for the course and this has produced an excellent team. We went to St. Ninians at Gartmore for the first Cross-Country Match and won both the major and minor races by a large margin.
Apart from the Annual Carol Concert, this year the Choir performed at St. Columba's, Helensburgh, the former charge of our Chaplain.
