Annual Inspection

WEDNESDAY, 14th JULY, 1965, at 3.45 p.m.

Inspecting Officer :
LIEUTENANT-GENERAL SIR GEORGE C. GORDON LENNOX,
K.B.E., C.B., C.V.O., D.S.O.
General Officer, Commanding-in-Chief, Scottish Command

INSPECTION

The parade is drawn up in line with the Pipes and Drums in the rear. The Colours
are marched on to the parade to the School March " Victorians." (Spectators rise as
Colours are marched on).
The Inspecting Officer arrives and is conducted to the Saluting Base. (Spectators remain seated).
The Inspecting officer is received with a General Salute. He inspects the parade,
meets the South African Veterans, and returns to the Saluting Base.

MARCH PAST

The parade moves off and forms Columns of Guards on the left of the Saluting Base. The Pipes and and Drums play " The Greenwoodside."
The Guards march past in slow time to the tune " The Mist-Covered Mountains."
(Spectators stand as the Colours pass them.)
The parade re-forms line to the tune " The Back of Benachie," then advances in
Review Order to " Scotland the Brave " and gives a General Salute.

PRESENTATION of PRIZES

The parade forms three sides of a square and marches forward. The Inspecting Officer addresses the parade.
Lady Gordon Lennox, the wife of the Inspecting Officer, has kindly consented to present some medals and trophies.
The Senior Monitor (D. C. K. Robertson) calls for three cheers for Lieutenant-General and Lady Gordon Lennox.

MARCH OFF

The parade re-forms line and marches off, headed by the Pipes and Drums playing
" Highland Laddie."
