ANNUAL INSPECTION, 1956

WEDNESDAY, 11th JULY, 1956, at 3.45 p.m.

Inspecting Officer :
Vice-Admiral J. W. CUTHBERT
C.B., C.B.E., R.N.
Flag Officer, Scotland

The School is drawn up in line with the Pipes and Drums in the rear. On the order of the Parade Commander, the Colours are marched on to parade to the march “Victorians.”

INSPECTION
The Admiral will be met on arrival by Lt.-Colonel R. F. Nason, Commandant of the School, who will conduct him to the Saluting Base.
The Admiral is received with the “General Salute” on the bugles.
The Admiral inspects the parade and returns to the Saluting Base

MARCH PAST

The parade moves off and forms Columns of Guards on the left of the Saluting Base. The Band plays " Dovecote Park."
The Guards march past in column slow time to the tune " My Home." and in quick time to “Hielan’ Laddie,” the march past of the School
The parade re-forms line, advances in Review Order, and gives the General Salute.

PRESENTATION of PRIZES

The parade forms three sides of a square and marches up to the Saluting Base. The Admiral addresses the parade.
The following prizes are then presented by Mrs Cuthbert:- Primus Medal, Dux Medal, Champion Company Sheild, a Junior Championship Cup, School Trophies, Addison-Smith prizes for public speaking, Sir Robert Cranston Memorial Essay Prize.
The Senior Monitor, J. Wilson, calls for three cheers for Mrs Cuthbert

MARCH OFF

The parade re-forms line and,  headed by the Band, marches off the ground playing
" Redford Cottage."

TEA INTERVAL

ARTS and CRAFTS
Exhibitions of work done by the boys are to be found in the Band Room.
